Senyuu. Episode 9.

Two new characters. More ribs. Alba’s voice. That is it, can I finish the post right here? Naaah, you need to upload a couple of pictures, so people would have something nice to look at, even if you can’t give them something nice to read.

So, here is the first new character, ominous Dezebmer Zwolf. He probably is a demon.

And here is the second one, a perverted cat Michelajul Lortelia. Do you want to know more about this perverted cat? I don’t : D But here is the picture of it:

Oh, and also we were introduced to the producer of the show, Yutaka Yamamoto. Besides Senyuu he worked on Lucky Star, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and lots of other very good shows. Quite a surprise.

I probably made an impression that I turned against the show. But that is not so. I like the series, and the more I like a show, the higher goes my expectation for the next episode. And Senyuu did not meet them this time (at the last time, for that matter). But the show is still good enough to watch.

Fun fact of the day, 9th episode of Mangirl gave me more satisfaction than 9th episode of Senyuu. If you remember, I was showing so much hostility towards the Mangirl in the beginning of the season, that I am kind of afraid to read what I wrote back then. Still, Mangirl went up and up and now I am looking forward for the next episode. And with Senyuu, I can only hope it get better again. See you in the next post (^_^)/

First Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards 2012

This is something you don’t want to miss. It is an award for voice actors, for their roles in 2012. Remember that it is about the English dub, so in the list of 2012 roles you can find episodes of Naruto, that were made years ago and such.

Here is the simple rules for voting for the award:

You can only vote once per category. Choose wisely as you will not be able to change your vote once it has been cast.

That is it. By the March 11th 2013 the winners will be announced. Now, I had a hard time placing my votes. I can tell you one fact. I am a big fan of Crispin Freeman and he was nominated twice with his best roles, and still I did not vote for him. That can tell you how tense the competition is there.

Here is the link – First Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards 2012

Here is how I voted (the vote is shown by red background):

First Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards 2012 pic1

Best vocal ensemble in an anime television series/OVA

First Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards 2012

Best male lead vocal performance in an anime television series/OVA

First Annual BTVA Anime Dub Awards 2012

Best male supporting vocal performance in an anime television series/OVA

I did not vote in some nominations, where I was not sure or where I did not know most of the roles. We will see if any of actors I voted for will get the prise. Till the next time (^_^)/

Mangirl! Episode 9

Unexpected as it is, this episode was adorable. I don’t know why it was adorable, probably the recipe, that I worked out for watching this show, worked (lowest expectations, skip the opening; though I did not even bother skipping it this time). Also, maybe I enjoy the show more because I have gotten to know the characters better, and that helps. It is a slice of life genre and it is all about characters, after all.

But anyway, by now I can recommend you to watch two episodes, at least, 8th and 9th. Or, rather you can maraphon the whole show, it is not that long.

This episode was all about how the girls from help their manga artists with some small things. Like taking care of pets, while mangaka is on a trip. Or watering plants for them. Or taking care of their cosplay costumes collection, so a managa artist can get some space in his house to make room for his parents to stay. Or pretending to be a girlfriend of a mangaka, whose parents are going to make an arranged marriage for him. O_o What?

Mangirl Episode 9 Hana and Ringo

That blond girl is Ringo. She is going to play a role of a girlfriend for her manga artist, so he can escape the “arranged marriage”, whatever that is.

Also there was a little bit of cosplaying done.

Mangirl Episode 9 Aki Tsugumi Hana Ringo

They made Aki to do cosplay again

Oh, and great news. No Hana fanservice this episode. I thought that they will keep it up till the end of the series. Not that I have strong views against fanservice, but in a show like this, it is so obvious why they put it in there, and it makes the show feel cheap, kind of. Anyway, the episode was good, if you watched the show so far, don’t stop now. See you next time (^_^)/
