I know, I am a bit late with this review. The 4th episode is about to be out, actually. But well, what will you do, I didn’t have time for blogging this week. So, let’s go into this episode.
The episode was essentially about Eren and his friends getting trained to be soldiers. There was a time skip after the last episode and there will be another time skip between this and the next episode. They did not show us a lot of the training they have got, just one little story of how Eren was trying to work with broken equipment, without any knowledge that something is wrong with it. He wasn’t able to do anything, because of that. They made him look weak and untalented, made him realise (I hope) that determination alone is not enough, made him see the world from the perspective of losers. That didn’t last long, though. At the end of the episode they discovered the problem and Eren passed the test.
Besides telling us that little story this episode introduced some new characters. The most noticeable one is the potato girl (as Internet call her):
I don’t know why, but she manages to draw attention to herself. Probably because she is just so simple-minded. I don’t know. So far the only noticeable feature of her character was her constant appetite.
Also there was that girl, who appeared out of nowhere with her weird speech, saying that she is going to use Sasha somehow. I don’t know if we will see her again, but she is a candidate for the local antagonist role.
To summarize the episode I should say that it wasn’t bad, but I strongly hope that the next one will be better. And I hope to see some action too. Luckily, I won’t have to wait for too long. Till then, see you (^_^)/
